Today is one of my favorite days of the year. A whole day devoted to telling people how you feel about them? That's obviously my thing.
As I've said a thousand times both here and in real life, our wedding day was my favorite day ever because all there was was love. Everywhere, everyone, all day long. Our videographer very nicely reformatted our wedding video so I could upload to Vimeo and today, you get to see all of that love yourself. So without further ado, here is my favorite video in the world, by the wonderful Jonny Capuano. I would save this thing from a burning fire in a heartbeat.

the words
I had planned to share pictures from around our apartment on here today, but that's just not going to work. I love our place and am super proud of it, but it just doesn't translate well into pictures. it's like that awkward girl in high school that's pretty in real life, but has a talent for making the weirdest faces right when the camera shutter opens [me].
so today is for sharing the paintings of our vows, done by sweet Alana. we got frames for them yesterday and hung them up last night, but there are no pictures yet. I've been too busy just laying on the couch looking at them.
Ben and I wrote our vows together a few nights before the wedding. we grabbed a blanket, headed to a park, and sat on the grass talking about what we wanted to promise each other and how we should say it. we each wrote our own, but kept reading the drafts to each other, and at the end of the night, we knew we were finished when we read them to each other and cried.
that night is one of my favorite wedding memories. and then a few days later when I walked down that aisle and we read them to each other for real, with all of the weight and the promises behind them, with all of our loved ones there to hear them too, well that one is a memory that I will hold in my heart forever.
our wedding: party time
after a whirlwind of an afternoon getting ready, getting married (!) and taking all sorts of pictures, we ran into the tent and got the whole thing started. it was seriously the most fun evening I've ever had.
announced as Mr. and Mrs. Ben & Jackie Quigley for the second time everrrr.
my Dad said a sweet prayer before dinner.
then it was chow time. and yes, that is my brother wearing a cowboy hat.
we had barbeque food from our favorite restaurant and it was so.dang.good.
after we shoved our faces and made the rounds to say hey to everyone, it was speech time! the best man, Luke, killed it with his speech. hilarious.
and my sister/MOH's speech was so sweet. love that girl.
then it was first dance time. we danced to "You Are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne and decided to be done with it about 2 minutes in. it was so weird just swaying around with everyone staring at us!
Ben's sweet momma wanted to practice their dancing, so they got all fancy with some twirls. they danced to "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story.
Dad and I danced to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw and both bawled like little babies.
we had ice cream instead of cake and that was probably the best decision of the day. besides the actual getting married part, obviously.
yummmmmmmmmmm.
a little bit into dancing, it started POURING outside. so we went and danced in it, cause why not?
one of my favorite memories of the night.
some of the girls came out to dance with us too.
Ben didn't really know what to make of it.
once Ben got sick of being in the rain, we changed locations and kept going.
my Dad brought cigars to smoke with anyone who wanted one, so the boys entertained themselves with those.
and Dad gave line dancing lessons.
our college friends are some of my favorite people in the world.
my hair was a hot mess after getting soaked in the rain, but it didn't even matter. this is what mattered.
towards the end of the night, this was the dancing crew.
I love this picture [of my brother, sister, and I] so much
dance skillz run in the family, obviously.
love this picture too.
our friends took it upon themselves to trash decorate the truck.
it was adorably disgusting.
but they obviously enjoyed themselves.
and were damn proud of themselves.
when it came time to head out, everyone lined up for a sparkler send off.
I'm a yelling fool in all of these pictures, but I love how they turned out with the sparklers.
this was the last picture of us of the night, taken right after we quickly signed the marriage license that we'd forgotten to do before.
and the last one, on our way out for the honeymoon, snuggling up in the truck as Mr. and Mrs.
and that's it! I love having these pictures as a way to remember the best day of my life. I'm the luckiest girl alive, getting to marry my Ben, and that day was everything I hoped it would be and even more. I LOVED OUR WEDDING!!!!
also, thank you all so much for your sweet comments this past week! I've loved sharing it with you.
happy 2 months of being married, Benjamin. I love being your wife :)
our wedding: cocktail hour

I felt like we were in the Little Mermaid. |
picture time was long and hot, due to our giant families, giant bridal party, and the humid July day, but we made the most of it and had a lot of fun. and while we did all of this, the guests were up at the tent and lodge, getting their drink on, playing yard games. so really, it was a win win for everyone involved.
tomorrow, the reception! I'd say that that part was my favorite, but really, I think I love every part the best.
