weekend

This weekend was one of the best ones we've had in a long time.
I dressed up for work on Friday, knowing that it was going to lead right into date night with Benny. We stuffed ourselves at Red Lobster, walked around the mall to run some errands, snapped these awesome photo booth pics, and saw Looper at the movie theater [which was weird and kinda scary, but good]. The best part about the whole night? It was free. I LOVE GIFT CARDS.
Saturday was so much fun! We had a lazy morning, sleeping in and making our costumes for Ben's party in our pajamas. We went to the Apple Fest in my hometown with my little sister in the afternoon, and then headed to my brother and his fiancee's house for Mom's birthday dinner. Chicken parm and apple crisp were the birthday girl's requests, so my sister, sister-in-law and I figured out how to make all that, and we enjoyed a relaxing night just hanging out. Then, it was time for Ben's birthday party! Almost everyone dressed up, I brought some Funfetti cake, and things got crazy. It was a lot of fun. Oh, and I kicked Ben's ass in darts, so that was something.
And then Sunday was the perfect Sunday. We slept in in a major way, turned on football as soon as we got up, ate some waffles, and spent the day in the apartment. Sweatpants Sunday is a thing in this family, so we lounged in those all day, cleaning up and decorating for fall.

This weekend was the perfect way to wind down September. It's so crazy to me that it's already October, but here we are. How was everyone else's weekend?

oh, and I'm guest posting over here today, so go check that out if you'd like!

Oh I've missed you. Granted, it's been my own damn fault [trips make you forget about the internet!], but still. Missed you.

I love that you had a cowboys and Indians party. So great! And I can't believe it's October already, either. I need some candy corn or something.

You guys look so cute in your party costumes! That's great that even the guys were enthusiastic about getting dressed up--for some reason none of the guys I know like costumes!
